  • Avid traveler.

I’m a contracted blogger for Gifts.com, and wrote their most popular blog post in 2013. I’m well-versed in creating & maintaining a brand’s social media presence via Facebook, Twitter, & Pinterest. I thrive on creating short- and long-form content customized for multiple platforms including print, websites, blogs, and digital magazines. I also write feature, travel & lifestyle articles that are published in national and international titles. My travel writing perspective was included in Beth Blair’s book “How to Break Into Travel Writing” (2012).

Working for two start-up companies has taught me the value of being a nimble employee despite frequently shifting priorities. I’m proud to have been a primary creator of Perfect Wedding Venue, a proprietary venue and destination database/CMS featuring tight descriptions and pertinent planning information for brides looking for their ideal wedding/honeymoon locations. This initiative resulted in revitalizing the company and garnering a considerable revenue stream in less than 1 year.

I love when travel and writing intersect. I enjoy helping companies find their voice by writing compelling copy that sings an idea. I have a weakness for magazines, a fondness for wit, and an affinity for wrangling copy until every word is just right.

Clients include the University of Southern California Credit Union, World Vision Canada, Marriott, Questex Media Group, Rogers Communications, DueSouth Publishing, St. Joseph Media, the North Carolina State Bar, Adapt Courseware/Jumpcourse, and many others.

I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list. A few places I’ve been lucky enough to visit on assignment: Alaska, Amsterdam, Antigua, Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, French Polynesia (the islands of Bora Bora, Huahine, Taha’a, and Tahiti), Germany, Greece (the islands of Corfu, Crete, Katakolón, and Santorini), Jamaica, and Mexico.

I’m curious, quick, creative, and accurate. I am familiar with AP and Chicago styles, and can easily adapt to any in-house style guidelines. I’m a thorough editor, a fast learner, an excellent researcher, and a provoking writer. I’ll work hard to exceed your expectations.
